The country's energy systems have come under escalating strikes in the past few days

During the night, Moscow's missile and drone strikes have caused blackouts in large parts of the capital city, Kyiv.

A number of civilians were hurt while residents in the city's east were left without electricity and dealt with interruptions to water systems, per reports from city officials.

Simultaneously, a minor was lost their life in a separate Russian drone strike in the southeastern region in the southeastern part, as reported by area administrators.

Russian forces has increased strikes on energy facilities over the past few days, while officials has called for "concrete actions" from international partners to increase pressure on Moscow.

Authorities reported that numerous aerial vehicles and several dozen missiles attacked Ukraine's energy infrastructure, labeling such attacks as "premeditated" and against "essential services" as temperatures become colder.

Government representatives said Russia was "launching a major assault" and technical staff were laboring to fix the damage.

Area administrators said the city came under heavy assaults during nighttime hours. A minor lost their life and several individuals were injured.

The strikes succeed evenings of bombing campaigns in the region, portions of which remain under the control of Moscow's military.

The entire country is in a state of readiness for advanced weapon attacks, which are more difficult to detect.

Government officials told journalists that Moscow was purposely seeking to demolish the electrical infrastructure, with strikes already affecting energy systems.

Officials stated energy workers and authorities were bracing for further attacks.
